Makin’ it Happen!
One of my favorite parts of being a flooring professional is the feeling of satisfaction that comes from a job well executed.
I have had the privilege of training and working with some fine flooring technicians over the last decade. Not everyone has the aptitude for this type of work. For those that do, being part of a skilled team of craftsman is a great experience.
Today, myself and two of my most experienced installers, along with a new helper, continued the installation of a new custom hardwood floor. Our clients are trusting us to install, sand, stain, and finish the 5″ Rift and Quartered White oak hardwood floor in their new dream home.
Although the install is very straight forward, the care and attention to detail are what make the floor special. Add that level of care and attention to the high level of skill of a great crew, and the installations seem to roll forward. At the end of the day, you look back at the hundreds of square feet we installed, including details around vents, odd angles, around brand new expensive cabinets, mouldings, and finishes, with a deep sense of satisfaction.
As we clean our site at the end of the day, vacuuming, sweeping, organizing, etc., we can joke around in an easy camaraderie. We know that we provided our clients with excellent service, our best effort, and we know that what we do will be appreciated for decades to come!
